Moving to a new country and beginning a fresh chapter in life is both exciting and challenging. It means stepping into new surroundings, navigating unfamiliar systems, and building connections from the ground up. To help make this transition smoother, the Welcome September initiative has been created as a way to offer guidance, support, and community to international newcomers. By joining hands with carefully selected organisations and partners, International Citizen Days ensures that you won’t have to face this journey alone. From practical advice to heartfelt encouragement, everyone is here to make your first steps feel a little lighter and your arrival a lot warmer.
As part of this initiative, these organisations have shared their warmest words of welcome, reflecting their eagerness to support you in feeling at home. They understand the challenges of settling in and are committed to helping you find your place in this new chapter of your life. More than just services, they open doors, friendly faces, and a shared belief that every newcomer has something valuable to contribute. They look forward to meeting you at International Citizen Days (ICD) - a space where connections are built, experiences are shared, and new beginnings are celebrated.
International Citizen Days is organised by The City of Copenhagen/International House Copenhagen with financial contributions from a broad range of different partners each year. The event is co-funded by the European Union’s Interreg ØKS programme as part of the Cross-border Talent Bridge project, along with the European Social Fund and the Danish Board of Business Development.
International Citizen Days 2025 is sponsored by:
• Akademikerne (The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations)

• Dansk Industri (Danish Industry)
