Back in print and stronger together!

A new collaboration, a fresh print edition, and a community ready to celebrate at

International Citizen Days.

I know this September issue is landing a little later than usual - but honestly, I couldn’t imagine a better moment to share it with you. We have so much to celebrate together!

First, I’m so happy to share our new collaboration with Last Week in Denmark. They’re bringing an amazing 10-page section to this issue, and this is just the beginning. What started as conversations and shared values over the years with Narcis has now grown into a genuine partnership. The International brings stories, lifestyle, and community voices. Last Week in Denmark brings political insight, news, timely updates, and so much more. Together, we’re creating something bigger than either of us could do alone. You’ll even see Narcis (the founder of Last Week in Denmark) and me on the cover - it still feels a little surreal, since I don’t usually like being in the spotlight. But it felt important to share our story side by side, because this collaboration is really about what we can build together. If you’d like to know more about how it all came about, don’t miss this month’s feature story.

"What started as conversations and shared values over the years with Narcis has now grown into a real partnership."

Second, the news that makes my heart race: The International is back in print after a digital-only break since 2022! This Friday, 19th September, we’ll be holding fresh copies in our hands again. Over the next few months, we’ll be rolling out distribution points across Denmark. It will take time, but oh, the joy of being back in print is worth every step.

And to top it all off, we get to celebrate together at International Citizen Days in Copenhagen, the biggest international gathering in the city. You’ll find us at booth D14 on both Friday and Saturday. I’ll also be joining my good friends Leslea from English Job Denmark and Keri, author of Nothing Like a Dane, for a talk on Unlocking Your Superpowers. We’ll explore the “3 C’s” - Community, Career, and Culture, and how these are the strengths every international brings with them. I’d love for you to join us for this conversation at the Purple Stage on Friday at 14:40.

None of this would be possible without you - our incredible community. To our volunteers and writers - especially Deputy Editor Ophelia, our social media team, and our on-site crew - you are the beating heart of The International. Thank you for everything you give.

So come by, say hello, pick up your fresh copy - and don’t miss your chance to grab our exclusive digital goodie box. It’s packed with special discounts and treats for you and your family, and it’s only available at the event.

Here’s to community collaborations, fresh beginnings, and the joy of being back in print. I can’t wait to celebrate with you at International Citizen Days! Love
